Joost van de Loo joins Energize after five years as an independent strategist

Our patience has been rewarded: after an extensive search, Energize found a Strategy Director who’s a perfect fit for our dynamic agency. Joost will bring fresh new ideas to the table and add an extra dimension and depth to our branding, content and earned attention.

Never one for a ‘cookie-cutter’ career path, multitalented Joost earned degrees in engineering and journalism before settling on a career in advertising, working at several agencies in the Netherlands and Belgium (mortierbrigade, Lemz and Boondoggle Leuven), along with stints at BBC Four and VPRO radio.

Joost has been working as a strategist specialising in complex business sectors since 2012. He gets to combine his considerable skills as a journalist, designer and advertising professional to get people interested in topics that might appear overly complex or unexciting at first. He has also been involved in documentary filmmaking and various design projects, including Sunshine Steak: a new way of preparing prime steak using solar thermal energy.
