Aegon thanks Ajax with a special tribute film

Energize illustrates in this film how Aegon and Ajax built on the future of the club together

Yesterday afternoon Aegon officially announced that after 6,5 years they were withdrawing as head sponsor of Ajax. The announcement took place in the Amsterdam ArenA, during the match between Ajax - FC Utrecht. A highlight of the afternoon was the premiere of the tribute film that was shown during half time in the ArenA. The film was produced by Energize in cooperation with Wefilm.

Energize chose to present the film from a surprising angle: everyone knows Aegon as the shirt sponsor of the Ajax team but what few people know is what Aegon has done for Ajax behind the scenes. Aegon was responsible as sponsor for a variety of new club activities. For example, Streetwise and the Future Cup were initiatives that were thought of for young football players from all walks of life to help them realize their dreams.

In the film produced by the production company Wefilm, we followed four different youngsters in their journey of becoming a top Ajax footballer player. That is where they are working on their future and that of Ajax.
